Understanding HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Technology?
HOLE MORE PUTTS™ uses patented infrared motion sensor technology to capture the key measurements of your putting stroke. There are over 60 infrared light sensors in your tablet taking 6,600+ measures every second.
The Tablet also measures and takes account of surrounding (or ambient) light conditions in your putting environment:
(1) Surrounding (ambient) light measurement: The Tablet measures the lighting conditions you are putting in – e.g. indoors but well lit, outdoors but overcast, bright sunny, etc. – and adjusts the sensitivity of the infrared sensors.
You should always use the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet in good lighting conditions – indoors and outdoors.
(2) Measurement parameters: HOLE MORE PUTTS™ is designed to measure the 5 key Impact Factors of the putting stroke and to focus on putts between 8ft and 10ft. For more detailed information on each Impact Factor and on the tolerances and boundaries for measurement, please refer to ‘HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Operating Specifications’.
Applying tape for Putter Pairing
To ensure that you have a ‘Pairable Surface’ apply a Pairing Strip to the bottom of your putter as shown.
Ensure that:
- It runs in line with the leading edge of the putter.
- The dotted line in the white area is lined up with the centre of the putter.
- If the strip is longer than your putter, the edges of the strip are wrapped around the heel and toe.

When you have applied the Pairing Strip to the base of your putter, you will have created a virtual white putter underneath.
Note: you must keep the Pairing Strip on your putter while using the Tablet. Failure to do so may provide inaccurate data.

Update your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ App to the latest software
Updating your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ iOS App and Desktop App is free and simple to do. We recommend that you connect to a Wi-Fi network before downloading the update. Please note, downloading updates over a mobile network or while roaming may cause additional charges from your service provider.
To update HOLE MORE PUTTS™ iOS App
- Go on to the Apple App Store.
- Select the ‘Updates’ tab, if HOLE MORE PUTTS™ is listed, select ‘Update’.
- Alternatively, go to your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ App. If notifications are turned on you will see a prompt to update.
To update HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Desktop App
- Go on to www.holemoreputts.com/uploads/HMPSetup.msi*
- Download and run the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ installer file.
* Desktop App is available to download on Windows only
To update HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet Software
* Do not turn off or disconnect your Tablet during the update process, unless instructed to do so, this may result in irrecoverable damage to the device.
For Windows users
- Turn on your Tablet.
- Ensure your Tablet is set to USB (refer to Setup Instructions details under ‘Uploading your Data’).
- Connect your Tablet to PC / Laptop using your USB cable provided.
(If the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ App opens, select ‘File’ and ‘Exit’)
- Download the update HERE.
- Log in to Member’s Area with your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ username and password.
- Open your PC / Laptop ‘Devices and drives” and double click SQ9_HMP drive.
- Copy and paste (name of file) from your Downloads folder on to this drive.
- Unplug and restart your Tablet by holding down the power button for 5+ seconds.
- Your Tablet display will clear, showing a message “Software Update”. Select ” √ ” on your Tablet keypad. (The update will take approximately 2-3 minutes to complete.)
- When the update is successfully complete, a message “Software update complete” will appear on your Tablet screen.
- Your Tablet is now updated and ready to use.
For MAC users
- Turn on your Tablet.
- Ensure your Tablet is set to USB (refer to Setup Instructions details under ‘Uploading your Data’).
- Connect your Tablet to PC / Laptop using your USB cable provided.

- Log in to Member’s Area with your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ username and password.
- Open Mac Finder, click ‘Devices’ and double click SQ9_HMP drive.

Please check to make sure the USB cable and wall charger are inserted all the way.

A constant orange light will appear on the Tablet when the battery is charging.
The battery of your Tablet takes approximately three hours for a complete charge.
The battery has a running time of 8-10 hours of continuous use.

No, you need not be worried, this is a common occurrence when using these type of e-paper screens. To remove ghosting, when the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet is switched on, hold down the power button for 10 seconds, this will switch off and reset your Tablet and should remove any ghosting at the same time.
Yes, there is PC application software available which allows you to register your Tablet, sync putting data and download updates, when applicable.

Using your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet
Upload all data to your online account, once this is completed it will automatically remove all data from your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet.
To change the name of your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet, go to: Menu → Options
The line starting with Name: My Name is where you can change the name, press √.
Press the left ← or right → arrows on the keypad to navigate between the characters.
Press the up ↑ or down ↓ arrows on the keypad to change the character.
To save press √. To cancel press ⊗.
To change from USB to Wireless connection, go to: Menu → Options
The line starting with Connect: USB is where you can change the connection type, press √.
Press the up ↑ or down ↓ arrows on the keypad to change the connection type.
To save press √. To cancel press ⊗.
To change from Wireless to USB connection, go to: Menu → Options
The line starting with Connect: Wireless is where you can change the connection type, press √.

Once you have taken one or more sets of putts, you can upload them to your account online via App or Website.
Using your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ iOS App
- To enable Wireless on your Tablet, go to the Menu and press the up ↑ or down ↓ arrows on the keypad. To select press √.
- Menu → Options → Connect: Wireless
- Open the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ App (download from the Apple App Store).
- Press ‘Sync my Tablet’.
Using your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Website
- To enable USB on your Tablet, go to the Menu and press the up ↑ or down ↓ arrows on the keypad. To select press √.
- Menu → Options → Connect: USB
- Connect your Tablet to your PC/Laptop with the USB cable.
- Go to holemoreputts.com/register and follow the on screen instructions.
Sensors are set to time out, so that they can reset, make sure that you take your putt as soon as the sensor light turns green.
There are a couple of reasons why the screen might tell you to ‘Try Again’.
- Either you have taken to long to take a putt and the process times out, simply reset, line the putter up behind the ball and as soon as the flashing red light turns green, take a putt.
- If for some reason you have taken a putt, but the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet is not able to read the data, it will ask you to please ‘Try Again’. This can be caused either by poor light conditions or the putt itself fell outside of acceptable parameters.
For any reason whilst in the process of taking putts you would like to delete a putt(s) simply press ⊗ immediately after the putts data has been recorded. You will not be able to do this after you have completed the full data set.
If you wish to delete any data sets, please log in to your account online at www.holemoreputts.com, view your older set history and delete any data sets you wish from this area.
On purchase of a second-hand Tablet, you will need to get the Tablet de-registered by the previous owner. Please ask the previous owner to contact us through support@holemoreputts.com to confirm new ownership.

Using the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ iOS App
If you notice that the data uploaded to your phone is ‘Grey’ this is because the data has not synchronised with our web servers, this is due to the lack of connection to the internet via your iOS Phone / Tablet or PC / Laptop.
1) Make sure your Tablet has the ‘Wireless Connection’ switched on, you will be able to see this in the bottom left-hand corner of the results screen.
If there is no ‘BLE’ this means that wireless connection is not switched on with the Tablet. To change from USB to the Wireless connection, go to: Menu → Options
The line starting with Connect: USB is where you can change the connection type, press √. Press the up ↑ or down ↓ arrows on the keypad to change the connection type. To save press √. To cancel press ⊗.
2) Make sure that you are looking to sync up your device through the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ App and NOT the Bluetooth module on your iPhone. To do this make sure you have downloaded and registered your details with the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ App (Download iPhone App here https://itunes.apple.com/ie/app/hole-more-putts/id1187965907?mt=8 ) open up the application on your phone.
Go to Menu → Settings → Manage Devices → Add a Tablet… this will now perform a Wireless search for your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet.

To play the videos on the App your phone needs to be connected to the internet, to be able to stream the video content from the web.

To edit profile settings within the App: Menu → Settings → Edit Profile
Select any of the profile settings you wish to amend and then enter the new details.
Once completed press ‘Save’.
To view results history on the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet not yet uploaded to the iOS App or Website, go to: Menu → Results History
Press the up ↑ or down ↓ arrows on the keypad to select a different data set and press √ to select and view.
You cannot delete sets of data from the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ App. You can delete sets of data from the HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Website.
If you wish to delete any data sets, please log in to the Member’s Area on the Website, click history from the top menu and delete any sets you wish from this area. This will remove the sets from your App.
Step 1: Please make sure that you have completed and uploaded 5 sets of data (25 putts in total) and uploaded it to your Member’s Area account via the App or the PC Desktop Software. The system requires a minimum of 5 sets of data to perform the full diagnosis and consequently provide suggested instruction, video tips and drills.

To edit profile settings in the Member’s Area of holemoreputts.com please ensure that you are logged in to your account.

In the dashboard area navigate to the right-hand side of the top navigation menu and select ‘Settings’.
Select the profile information you wish to edit and then select ‘Save’.
To share your data/last 5 putts with a friend or golf coach please ensure that you are logged in to your account.

Enter the email address you wish to send the last 5 sets of data to and then select ‘Share my last 5 sets’.
To view history of all / older putts in the Website go to your main dashboard area.
Below the main graph to the right is a link ‘View Older Sets’ click this to view a complete history of all your putting data.
The number of videos on the App are limited to 2 per measurement factor.

HOLE MORE PUTTS™ measures 13 elements of the putting stroke. It is designed to operate within the following ranges.

- Tempo: 12 bpm to 125 bpm
- Rhythm: 0.5:1 to 5:1
- Speed (at Impact): 0 m/s to 2.0 m/s
- Speed Tendency: -1 m/s to +1 m/s
- Impact Point: -25 mm to +25 mm
- Ball Speed (after impact): 0 m/s to 3.75 m/s
- Smash Factor: 0.5:1 to 5:1
Putting outside these ranges may cause your measurements to be inaccurate.
HOLE MORE PUTTS™ measures the speed of your clubhead as it comes to impact with the ball. When using HOLE MORE PUTTS™ we ask you to setup for an 8ft putt. Speed on an 8ft putt varies between 0.6m/s and 0.8m/s depending on the speed of the green/carpet/floor you are putting on. The reason why we use m/s rather than say mph / kph is, if you imagine 0.6m/s = 2.16 km/h and 0.7m/s = 2.52 km/h it is very difficult for someone to adjust their putting stroke, slower or faster when there is seemingly very little difference in km/h.
HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet operates between +5 and +35˚C (between +41 and +95°F). Do not to use your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Tablet outside this temperature range as correct operation outside this range is not guaranteed.
HOLE MORE PUTTS™ Care & Maintenance
Your HOLE MORE PUTTS™ (HMP) Tablet is a highly accurate and sensitive measurement instrument, designed for monitoring your Putting stroke. The Tablet contains multiple IR sensors, lenses, an E-Ink / E-Paper display and Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery.
In order to get the best out of HMP please follow the Care and Operation Guidelines for correct operation. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in diminished performance, damage to your Tablet and void your warranty.
